The famous Chicago Yacht Club’s race to Mackinac Island began on Saturday, July 24th. This year’s race had 357 boats registered and 53 of them were Beneteaus!
Congratulations to all of the Beneteaus that participated. Karma took First place in the Beneteau First 36.7 Class and Collaboration 2 took First place for the Beneteau First 40.7s.

Youngstown Level

The 37th Annual Youngstown Level Regatta was held July 27th in Buffalo, NY with mostly fine weather conditions. 16 Beneteau First 36.7’s competed with Bob Hesse’s Lake Effect finishing in First place. 6 Beneteau First 40.7’s competed with Thomas Kinsella’s Polestar taking first place and 6 Beneteau First 10R’s competed with Ian Struthers Plika finished first.

LYRA(Lake Yacht Racing Association)

Beneteau 36.7 Great Lakes Championship was held in conjunction with LYRA July 30-Aug 1. Close Racing? How about the top four boats in IRC 2, all Beneteau 40.7s, and all finishing within one-half point!
1. Amorita - Beneteau 40.7 Fritz Odenbach, 18 pts
2. Mullet - Beneteau 40.7 Kris & Kiki Werner, 18.5 pts
3. Out Of The Blue - Beneteau 40.7 John Doyle, 18.5 pts
4. Silver Bullet - Beneteau 40.7 Harry Voss, 18.5 pts

18 First 36.7’s took part in the One design competition with Bob Hesse’s Lake Effect finishing First followed by Tom Lewin’s First Today.
